Obituary for Virgilio Arrocena Iniba

Virgilio Arrocena Iniba passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

He was born on January 4,1944 in Ilocos Sur, Sinait in the Philippines to Esteban and Emiliana Iniba
He graduated from Sinait Provencial School in the Philippines.
He arrived in the US in 1966.

He served in the Philippine Army from 1966-67 and later transferred to the US Army and served for 6 yrs and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He also graduated from the University of the Philippines in 1965 with Bachelor’s in Agriculture and later continued his education and attended Cornell University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business. He worked at Emjay’s in Kahului and Foodland Kaahumanu for 40 years as a grocery manager until his retirement in 2010. He later decided to return to work pt for Jani King cleaning the floors for Foodland and Japan Foods until November of 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years- Diana Edlao Iniba.

Daughter- Jessica (Gabriel) Franco of Utah
Grandchildren- Charmaine (Chris) Yee, Amberlyn (Joseph) Basques, Cory (Ozzy) Welch, Raymond (Corby) Kailipalauli, Robby (Krystal) Iniba, Lindel (Jordan) Iniba, Jonah and Lucah Iniba
Great grandchildren- Brennen, Chloe, James, and Riley
Hana’i daughters- Berna (Hymie) Haupu and Paula (John) Bacay
Brother- Cery (Benigna) Iniba, Hector (Jean) Iniba
Sisters-Maria Ibanez, Lena (Clyde) Lorenzo, Priscilla (Ben) Echalas
Sister in law- Estefania (Gaspar) Iniba
Sister in law- Juliana (Jovencio) Iniba
sister in law-Elizabeth (Adonis) Iniba
Numerous nieces and nephews.

Pre-deceased by parents, Esteban and Emiliana Iniba, brothers Jovencio, Gaspar and Adonis and sister Belen.

We would like to thank Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Choi, and also Hospice of Maui, Nurse Susan Cabalce and Nurse aid Roman.

Services will be held on:

Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Norman's Mortuary | Wailuku, Maui Hawai'i
Visitation 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Wednesday, Janaury 5, 2022 Norman's Mortuary | Wailuku, Maui Hawai'i
Visitation 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Burial to follow at Maui Veterans Cemetery | Makawao, Maui Hawai'i
