Obituary for Julhio "Jules" Ramon

Jules Ramon, 94 of Pukalani, Hawaii peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Hospice Maui Hale. He was born in Kaupakalua, Hawaii on July 19, 1926 to the late Manuel and Annie Ramon.


Jules was a hard worker and did many things during his life; picked pineapples on Moloka'i & Lana'i, worked on the MacPhee Ranch on Kaho'olawe, served in the Army during World War II (was put in charge of 300 German Prisoners of War), Refrigeration Mechanic in Northern California and over 25 years of service as a Broiler Operator at Maui Electric Company until his retirement in 1988.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paulette Ramon, son Eric & daughters Lorna & Renate (Greg) Syme of Idaho. Grandchildren Amy (Daniel) Tirre of Lake Tahoe CA, Bryan (Tabitha) Syme of Weiser ID, Jeffrey (Sara) Syme of Boise ID, David, Erin & Jules Bryce (JB) of Idaho, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.

He is predeceased by 11 of his siblings and sons Edward & Michael Ramon.

Mahalo to all the doctors and nurses who took care of Jules at Maui Memorial Medical Center and at Hospice Maui Hale - you are all our heroes.
