Obituary for Hermina Silva Pacheco

Hermina Silva Pacheco, 102

Hermina Silva Pacheco passed away on April 25, 2022. She lived a long life, she was born on April 5, 1920.

Born from her Father John Braga Silva & Mother Dionsia “Elizabeth” Gaspar, her father was the train driver ENGINE #5 for HC&S Paia Mill.

Hermina was a great cook, a great artist and most definitely a talented woman, embroidering was one of her many talents. She enjoyed sewing and crochet too. She most definitely loved to garden, she grew roses, antheriums & orchids. She and her late Husband George Pacheco Sr. owned a home in Makawao that they would spend time gardening together & share special memories as one.

Hermina worked at the HC&S Paia Mill for many years along with the Libby’s Cannery. She believed education was very important, she raised her 4 children to have respect & manners. Her children attended Holy Rosary School. She is predeceased by her son- Robert Pacheco; Survived by her son George Pacheco Jr., Daughters: Linda Jacintho and Cheryl Kauai.

Family was everything to her, she will always be loved and truly be missed!!
