Obituary for Harry A. Sweeney Jr.

Harry A. Sweeney, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022 in Maui, Hawaii after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He spent decades working as a Financial Executive in the toy industry at Mattel Toys, Monogram Models, and in later years at Skil Bosch Power Tools. He also owned his own business, National Copper Paint. He was well known for his generosity and humor. He leaves behind Mary Ann Sweeney, together they had five daughters: Jennifer (Dale) Stebbins, Kathleen (Mark) Andrade, Eileen (Steve) Andolino, Meredith (Daniel) O’Connor and Erin Sweeney. He was very proud of them and his 13 grandchildren: Melissa, Timothy and Laura Stebbins; Alyssa, Victoria and Patrick Andrade; Nicholas and Scott Andolino; Grace, Danny, Jr., Liam, Owen, Brendan O’Connor and his great-grandson, Jessie Andrade. Before him in death were his parents, Harry A. Sweeney, Sr. and Mary Howe. A memorial is being planned to celebrate his life on September 10 at 10:30am at Queen of Angels Church, 2330 West Sunnyside, Chicago, IL 60625. His family is grateful for your prayers and support at this time of loss. We ask that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to JDRF Illinois.

Funeral Mass will take place on September 10th 2022 at Queen of Apostles Church, Chicago, Illinois at 10:30 a.m. CST.
