George “Epe” Bartolome 85, of Wailuku, Maui passed away peacefully with his sweetheart by his side at the Maui Hospice Hale on November 15th, 2020. He was born on February 13th 1935 in Puunene, Maui, Hawaii to Policarpio and Carlota Bartolome. George lived a full life, filled with fun, laughter, adventure and love.
He worked for the County of Maui as the superintendent of the Department of Water Supply. He retired in 1991 after 30 years of service. After retiring, he was a frequent flyer to Las Vegas. You’d usually find him in the casinos at the card tables, or on the slot machines. George enjoyed traveling, but he also loved his long time sport of game fowl. Back in the day, he was an avid chicken fighter and friends and family have numerous stories about it. He also had a green thumb, and it showed when you would see his yard and the many beautiful varieties of plants that he had planted. He cherished his time with his family playing cribbage, Mexican train dominos and a card game called klink. His home was always open, and he was always very happy to have visitors drop by.
George leaves behind his devoted sweetheart of 34 years, Vivian Abreu.
His children: Jeff (Patti) Javier, George Brian Bartolome, Leslie (Theresa) Bartolome, Teri (Ken) Shabino, Tina Bartolome, Denise (Eddie) Abreu-Alamillo.

Great Grand Children: Ui Kepani, Austin Kepani, Avalee Javier, Blake Javier, Shaelyn Perreira, Coen Perreira, Leona Wong, and Jacey.
He leaves behind his brother Moses (Monica) Bartolome, and God sister Christine (Moki) Andres and a hanai brother, Happy Scheimreif.
George also loved their little dog Lucky girl and she misses him a lot already.
He was loved by many nieces and nephews, especially Arthur (Eleanor) Pascua, and Juanito (Fely) Fagaragan.
George is predeceased by his siblings Mel Bartolome and Adriana Ann Ha’o, as well as half-sisters Carlina Galimba, Cecelia Juana Fagaragan, Felicidad Pascua, and a half-brother Bernard “Bundy” Cabading. He is also predeceased by his parents Polycarpio and Carlota Bartolome.
