Obituary for Francis Palakiko Prais
Francis Palakiko Prais, 76 of Lahaina, Maui passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving
family on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku. He was born on February 16, 1946 to Graciano Prais and Emily Ka'eo Prais at Puunene Hospital, Puunene.
Francis is survived by his brothers, Samuel Ka'eo and Michael Prais and sister, Gwendolyn Ann Lurendez as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Graciano Prais, Emily Ka'eo Prais and brothers, James 'Baby' Haumea Ka'eo, Philip Prais, Clifford 'Dahlin' Prais and Lawrence Kalani Prais.
Francis was a retired laborer in the construction industry. He enjoyed riding his bicycle around Lahiana, playing the guitar and cruising under the Lahaina Banyan tree with his many friends. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
