Obituary for Fidela Nacapuy Garcia
Fidela Nacapuy Garcia, 75 of Lahaina, Maui peacefully passed away in her home on Monday, August 17, 2020. She was born in the Philippines on April 24, 1945 to the late Tiborcio and Juana Nacapuy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Felix Garcia; daughter Florence G. Ormilla (Nuvo Ormilla); grandson, Joseph Paul Ormilla; sister, Norma N. Petel (Bobby Petel) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Hanai brother, Amado M. Nacapuy (Norma Nacapuy) of Lahaina, Maui, Shaun Amando Jr. and Jenna Nacapuy, Newell M. Nacapuy (Letty Nacapuy) of Las Vegas, Nevada (Cedric, Leiana, Nowell and Lorenzo Nacapuy.
She came to Hawai’i in July 1972. She was a hard worker and took a few different jobs to make ends meet from housekeeper to kitchen help. She worked as a field worker for Pioneer Mill Co. in Lahaina the longest before she retired at the age of 62. She enjoyed going to parties with close family and friends and most of all she loved gardening and taking care of her orchids.
