Obituary for Earl Tadashi Endo

Earl Tadashi Endo, 71, born to Wayne Endo and Setsuko Kuwahara of Maui on October, 11th, 1950. He passed away at Hospice Maui on April 30th, 2022. Earl Tadashi Endo; beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother peacefully passed away at his home in Kula, on April 30,2022 with his family around him. To his grandchildren he was known as Papa, while strangers would often mistake him as Mr. Miyagi. Earl was born on October 11, 1950 on Maui; the second child in a family of seven. Earl was very lucky because he had all sisters growing up. His parents, Wayne and Setsuko Endo were from Kula, Maui. His family had a farm in upper Kula, where they grew beautiful carnations and various vegetables. From a young age Earl was a very hard worker, something that would he would be known for throughout his entire life. Earl was part of the first graduating class at Kula Elementary, the same school all of his grandchildren attended. He continued learning throughout his entire life. He was very creative and taught himself how to make many things. Earl went onto
becoming a master plumber and opened his own plumbing company; Endo Plumbing. He loved being outdoors, gardening, reading books, collecting coins, watching Judge Judy, Netflix and documentaries and being around his family. He taught himself how to make beautiful, handcrafted Argentium jewelry. He was inspired by his wife and her love for jewelry.

His wife, Clarita was the love of his life and together they built a beautiful family. They were fondly known as Mama and Papa to everyone. When they were younger, they enjoyed riding their bikes through the cane fields and spending all their time together. As time passed, they went on many trips to Las Vegas and San Francisco. You could always find them down at the shopping center, or at their family restaurant, Bamboo Grille in Wailuku. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him, but his legacy lives on through his family. Like he always told us, “As long as the sun come up, everything going be okay”.
