Obituary for Cecilia Bermudez Agustin

Cecilia Bermudez Agustin, 96

Cecilia Bermudez Agustin of Kahului, Maui, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 01, 1924 in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines.

Cecilia arrived in Hawai’I in 1966 along with her 2 sons Domingo and Wilfred on SS President Wilson Ship. She worked at Maui Land and Pineapple Company as a field worker and afterwards she moved to HC&S where she retired after working for 20 years. During her retirement she enjoyed working around the house, cooking for her family and watching her grandchildren grow up. She was a loving, generous, and caring mother, grandmother, aunty and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia (Virgilio “Leo”) Agcolicol, daughter-in-law Concepcion Agustin; Grandchildren,Valerie (Malcolm) Aguirre, Cynthia(Jason) Higgins, Karen Agustin, Kyle Agustin, Skye (John) Laycox; Great-Grandchildren; Kekoa, Ka’iulani, Kaimana, Keira, Ciara and Kalena.

She is also survived by her sisters, Prisca B. Feliciano, Prisca B. Polo, Julieta Bermudez, Donicia B. Bernardino, Adelina B. Cortez, Patricia B. Guiyab of the Philippines and brother Eduardo (Mely) E. Bermudez of New York and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her Husband, August S. Agustin, Sons Sabino Agustin, Domingo Agustin, Wilfred Agustin and Brother Paulino Bermudez.
