Obituary for Bernabela Pagtulingan Mendoza (Pagtulingan)
Bernabela Pagtulingan Mendoza, 95 of Kihei, Maui peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. She was born on June 7, 1924 in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
She is survived by her children, Susana Inovejas, Aurora (Romeo) Magdirila, Eugenia Mendoza, Samuel Mendoza, Editha (Emilio) Magsanide; sister Magdalena (Gregorio) Yasay; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Waiting for her at heaven’s gates were her parents, Paulino and Veronica Pagtulingan; siblings, Fermin (Bella) Pagtulingan, Macaria (Seferino) Aganon, Lourdes (Gregorio) Garcia, Josefina (Federico) Aurelio, Maria (Gaudencio) Campos; husband Silvestre Mendoza; daughter Remedios Mendoza; sons-in-law Matias Laforga and Pedro Inovejas.
Services will be held at Borthwick Norman’s Mortuary with burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park. The Mendoza family would like to thank Islands Hospice, Maui Memorial Medical Center, Bayada Home Health Care, Doctor Gayland Yee, Doctor Howard Barbarosh and Doctor Noel Termulo.
