Obituary for Arsenio Miguel Jacinto

In loving memory of Arsenio Miguel Jacinto, a pillar of strength and love, peacefully transitioned to heaven on February 23, 2024, surrounded by the warmth of his family in his Lahaina home. He gracefully embraced 102 years of life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Arsenio's unwavering love was evident in every aspect of his life, especially in his devotion to his beloved wife of 58 years, Victoria Lazaro Jacinto, and their cherished children: Arthur (Dawn) Jacinto, Edith Jacinto, Jane (Keli’i) Arruda, and Lorraine (Troy) Young. His adoration extended to his grandchildren: Cassie-Ann Jacinto, Arthur Jacinto Jr., Bryce (Ceone) Jacinto, Makana (Joe) Kaaikala, Kalalani Kaaikala, Malino Jacinto, Justice Jacinto-Young, Mason Arruda, and Leimamo Arruda, as well as his great-grandson, Kualau. Arsenio's love knew no bounds, as he embraced each moment with his family with open arms and a mischievous smile.

Born in 1921 in Laoag City, Philippines, Arsenio embarked on a journey that led him to Hawaii in 1946, where he found his home and built a life filled with purpose and dedication. For years, he worked tirelessly in irrigation at Pioneer Mill Plantation until retirement, and later, as a custodian at Sacred Hearts School, Lahaina Intermediate, and Lahainaluna High School.

In his quiet moments, Arsenio found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening, shared moments with his wife watching WWE wrestling, and cheering on his favorite sports team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Jacinto family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Hospice Maui, Ohana Care Maui, and the compassionate staff at Kaiser Permanente for their unwavering support and care.
