Obituary for Anastacia Palmero

Anastacia Almerida Prones Palmero, 86, passed on May 4, 2022 at the Everystep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, IA. She was born April 15, 1936 on Maui. She was predeceased by her parents Lorenzo Arillia Almerida and Severina Datoon Sagaosao and by her sisters BuenaVenturada Gabriza Canubida, Feliciana Gabriza Cagasan, and Teopisata LahoyLahoy Palmero. She was also predeceased by her first and second husbands Lorenzo Prones and Alfredo Palmero.

She is survived by her 10 children Victor Prones, Felipe Prones, Joel Prones, Jimmy Prones, Tirso Prones, Roger Prones, Lorenzo Prones Jr., Arlene (Prones) Warren, Nelson Prones, and Kavin Prones; 31 Grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; Sisters Maxima Almerida Damaso, Timotea Almerida Banaag. She not only did assumed the role of Father/Mother to her 10 children, but also, welcomed her children’s friends as members of her family as well.

She lived a simple life as a Farmer’s wife in Sucon Zamboanga Del Norte, Philippines before moving back to Maui. She worked in various housekeeper and cleaning occupations. She was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Kahului.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Kahului Seventh Day Adventist Church, public viewing from 8:30am-10:30am; mass at 10:30am followed by 2:00pm burial at The Vally Isle Memorial Park Cemetery – Garden of Resurrection in Haiku.
