Alexasandra Lee Trofka, 79 of Makawao, Maui passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2022 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on June 6th, 1943 to Joseph Harold Szoch & Blache Rita Romanowski of Allegheny Township, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Alexasandra is survived by her son, Shane Trofka & her Brother; Ted Szoch.
She is predeceased by; parents Joseph Harold Szoch & Blanche Rita Romanowski. Also her brother; Fred Szoch (07/1/2020).
She graduated from Indiana State University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Business Teaching in 1969. She took a teaching position in Hilo, Hawaii at Hilo High School in 1969. In 1970, her family moved back to Pennsylvania & she became an executive secretary for Blaw-Knox Equipment Company. In 1976, she moved back to Honolulu, Hawaii and pursued a career as a professional dance instructor of ballroom, tap, country western, and other various dances that where popular at the time.
Alexasandra traveled to many counties; such as Europe, Belieze, and Costa Rica to name a few. In the mid-nineties, she moved back to Pennsylvania to take care of her aging mother.
In 2000, she moved to Maui, took up various teaching positions, including Kamehameha School in Pukalani & Rosalani Place in Kahului.
With her semiannual trips to Pittsburgh; she enjoyed her summer & winter visits; especially during the holiday & Christmas time to decorate for the season.
She was a beautiful light of joy & will be forever remembered by her loving family.
Celebration of Life to take place at St. John’s on Sunday, February 5th, 2023 for Service over Urn at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, please have donations made towards St. John’s Church.
